Lodgic Everyday Community Invites Champaign-Urbana-area Residents into Research

New Concept Combines Shared Workspace, Drop-In Childcare, Café and Dining Under One Roof

CHAMPAIGN, September 20, 2017 — Lodgic Everyday Community — a Moose International nonprofit initiative launching in Champaign early summer 2018 — is conducting in-person research focus groups in October designed to build on existing market research and help further tailor the concept to meet the unique needs of Champaign-Urbana’s modern working families and professionals. During each one-hour-long research group, participants will have the chance to offer their input on packages, offers, services and amenities, and other elements of the Lodgic Everyday Community experience. Groups will be scheduled throughout the day and evening to accommodate individual schedules and will receive a cash incentive in thanks for participation.

Eligible participants will fall into one or more of these categories:
1.  Freelancer, independent small business owner, or other independently employed professional.
2.  Full- or part-time employed workers who work outside their employer’s office 50% of the time or more.
3.  Small business owners with 1 to 9 employees (part- or full-time, or 1099/contractors).
4.  Parents with variable childcare needs, especially those who have flexible or non-traditional work schedules.
5.  Graduate, post-graduate, or other adult students with family and/or work responsibilities in addition to school (or spouses of same).
6.  Anyone looking for flexible, as-needed workspace and support services, or to be part of a professional and/or small business peer community.

Champaign-Urbana area residents who want to participate in groups should submit their interest by visiting www.lodgic.org/yourvoice. All inquiries will be vetted by the Lodgic Everyday Community research team who will manage the study. Space is limited.

Please visit www.lodgic.org to learn more about the concept and sign up to receive Lodgic Everyday Community updates.

Lodgic Workplace
Lodgic coworking is designed as a fresh take on the workplace, which means it’s nothing like a traditional office. It will offer quiet phone tents, energizing huddle huts, cozy corners, smart event spaces, healthy food and drinks, and fast internet speed. It’s a 24-hour vibrant work zone for freelancers, start-ups, small businesses, or professional nomads.

Flexible, Drop-in Childcare
Lodgic flexible childcare is a new kind of high-quality licensed care that allows parents to come, go, and pay only for the time they need. No reservations required. It works by the hour, by the day, by the week, or month. Evenings and weekends, too. It’s like an affordable day camp for growing minds and building character. Arts and crafts, healthy snacks and naps, and early-childhood happiness adapt to the modern family’s work week.

Healthy, All-Day Dining
Lodgic welcomes the community inside and out with smart dining that is healthy, energizing, and affordable. At Lodgic, everything is connected, so culinary adventure and local foodie culture is built into every space. At the family-friendly cafe and market, the on-the-go option is also the good-for-you option. Nearby, the spitfire grill is a full-service kitchen and bar with house-made, locally sourced freshness that tastes a lot like comfort food and feels a lot like home.
